The Job Black Sheepdog Tattoo is a fictional website redesign project. The shop requested an updated website. I took stock of what was and wasn't working, and performed a competitive analysis of other tattoo studio websites to see where Black Sheepdog could improve. My role was to redesign the site with clearer structure, stronger visuals, and a more engaging interface.

Creative Direction The visual direction was inspired by 90s fashion and culture magazine layouts: expressive, editorial, and image-driven. I wanted to give it a contemporary feel, reflecting the studio's renovation and revitalization and the energy that came with it. I wanted to emphasize the artistic and fashionable work of the new tattoo artists, while honouring the lasting, emblematic, and momentous significance of a tattoo.

Tattoos last forever, and the hope is that when you get one, you will love it forever. I wanted this website to elicit the same sentiment.

The shop supplied the text and some of the images. I was in charge of sourcing additional imagery and shaping the creative direction, mood, and functionality of the site.
